Changed the "Event Date" label to be "Event ends" - concept of an event date has changed from when people were having in-person events that essentially started and ended
on the same day to events that span multiple days and end on a particular date. In Silent Auction Pro the concept of the Event date has already really meant the event ending
date. We've changed the labels to reflect that when creating an event, editing an event and in what shows in the header for the event date. All now refer to Event ends date. [SAP-2421]

We re-enabled the ability to create, send and schedule bulk text messages. Text messages are now automatically trimmed to 160
characters before a template for a text message may be sent.
In addition any tags in the message such as [FirstName] are stripped out. You may not create or send
text messages that have tags in them as the tag could result in the text message being truncated and links that might be in the text message rendered not valid.
Templates must now be saved with a format. Email, Text, Print, etc., This was done so that when scheduling a text message we know that the template is valid, is
160 characters are fewer and does not have any [Tags] in it.
We added a new section at the bottom of the Write Letters page that includes commonly used links for easy quick reference.

Added bid increments to live auction items. The system will now allow you to add a bid increment when creating auction items and will enforce that bid
increment when bidding. Note that bidders may only place bids that MEET the current bid plus increments of the bid increment, so if an item has a current bid of $200 and a bid increment of
$50, valid bids would be $250, $300, $350, etc. A bid of $375 would not be a valid bid.
In certain cases the Edit Auction Items page didn't provide the correct link to edit a non-grouped auction item. [SAP-2360]
The Edit Auction Items page was incorrectly showing a "Max Bid" (Buy it Now) price for items that did not have the Buy-It-Now option enabled. [SAP-2360]

Significant enhancements to the Bidders Report page. It now includes a "Tkt" column and a "Bidder Paddle" column. Clicking on the Tkt column will order the page grouped by who bought the ticket.
Ticket colors indicate the type of ticket purchased. The Bidder Paddle column will show a paddle icon if a bidder number is assigned to that bidder. Clicking on the icon will open up a new page allowing you to print the bidder
paddle for the guest. In addition, you can search the page for names by clicking the "Find in page" button or search your Contacts database by clicking the "Search for Contact" button. These enhancements should make the page more
valuable asset when checking in guests who have pre-registered for your event.

If the page is still slow or not responding we suggest creating a new "dummy donor" and using that. It's also important to NOT enter many hundred or even thousands of items when a few

Added support for "Gold Line Bids". A "Gold Line Bid" is a bid at a certain percentage of the value of an auction item for which if the
bidder places a bid at that level, they get entered into a drawing for a prize. Organizations do this to encourage bidders to place bids at a certain level - 80% for instance. Regardless if the bidder wins the

Changed the way online ticket purchases work to first assign the ticket to the buyer and then process the charge. This way if there is a
problem with the transaction the person still has their ticket and can pay later at checkout at the event. Previously it was possible for a card to be charged but
if the postback from the processor failed, the person would be left without a ticket and would still have paid and there would be no record of that payemnt in Silent Auction Pro.
While this scenario is very rare we felt it best to record the ticket purchasee first. [SAP-1126]

is a fixed price item the Bid Increment will no longer show nor will the minimum bid.

Max bid amount shows on member's home page - If a bidder has placed a max bid (proxy bid) on
an item, that max bid now shows up as a superscript amount next to their current bid on that item. On mobile devices, the page must be viewed
in landscape mode to see the max bid amount. In addition bidders may now update (raise or lower) their max bid amount. As a result of this change
it is also now possible for a bidder to outbid themselves on an item, but hey, it's a fundraiser - maybe they are just being generous.
The mobile home page was erronously left set to refresh after 1000 seconds rather than 5 seconds as a part of a debugging
exercise. This has been fixed.

contact (a person listed in your group's contacts list). Reconciled contacts are indicated by a image which also prevents that

update if you had converted donations into fixed price auction items and then decided to change the price of those items, you would have had to delete and recreate the auction items.

Presentation order of categories and auction types changed on mobile bidding - The List page which presents different categories and
auction types (Live, Silent, Fixed Price, etc.,) has been changed to present categories first, then auction types and finally sections if multiple section closing times has been
enabled.
Items may now be posted on the online bidding page but not be biddable - The auction type attribute "Has a bid sheet" has been
changed to "Is biddable" as this applies more appropriately to both paper and electronic bidding. If an auction item is assigned to an auction type in which the "Is biddable"
option is set to No and that item is enabled for online bidding, the item will be presented but will not be able to accept bids. This is primarily helpful for items such as live
auciton items where you want to show bidders the item but on which you do not want to accept bids.
Event date updates if online bidding ending time is set to a greater future date - The event date shown in the banner area
of Silent Auction Pro should be set to the last day of your event if you are holding the event over multiple days. Often people would set the event date to the starting date of
their event and then set the online bidding to end several days to weeks later. This caused problems for our billing department as they use the event date as a key to know when
to send out invoices. Now if you change the online bidding ending date to something beyond your event date, the system will automatically update the event date to match the greatest
ending date for online bidding.

Print all results page now has an option to stop the automatic refresh. The Print All Results page produced from the

the page in another browser window and set the refresh option to 0. In this case you will need to reload the page to get it to refresh.

Auction item picture automatically updates when a donation picture is added - Previously, if you entered a donation without

Clone an auction item - Added the ability to easily clone an existing auction item from the AuctionDay
page or from the search auction items results page. This will create an exact copy of the auction item by first creating copies of the underlying donations
and then bundling those donations into a new auction item. If the auction item is already won it DOES NOT assign the auction item to the same bidder but will
leave the bid winner blank. This feature is very helpful if while at an event you need to duplicate an auction item. Live auctioneers will often sell a second
item if there are two bidders interested in one item such as a trip to Cabo.

Don't show bidder names for fund-a-need bar chart - Added the ability to NOT show the bidder names
on the Leaderboard Bar Chart. Default is to show names, but if that option is unchecked, names will be replaced by "Thank you!" as each bid is displayed.
This allows everyone to see how many people have pledged, but obscures the names of those bidders. Also removed the ability to show the dollar amount for

Extend event archive date - By default, Silent Auction Pro automatically archives events after 60 days. For organizations
that require more time to finalize details with their event, we have added the ability to extend the 60 day closing date by 7 to 60 days. This option is presented on the

Grouping of like donations and auction items as well as the ability to edit grouped items - Like donations and auction items with
sequential donation or auction item numbers are now automatically grouped together and presented in a single row saving sometimes pages of scrolling. In addition grouped items can
be edited in bulk.
"Ticket Parties" are now called "Fixed Price Items(s)" - Silent Auction Pro provided a default Auction Type formally called "Ticket Party"
that was used to offer multiple winner / fixed price items. With the ability to group and edit like items as described above, it makes more sense to change the terminology and call
the Ticket Party Auction Type "Fixed Price Items(s)" as that can really apply to single or multiple items, grouped or not. The Add Auction Type and Edit Auction Type forms also now use
this new terminology.
Donation photos now show up when cloning a donation - When cloning a donation, the photo previously used for that donation will now show up on
the form.
It is no longer possible to delete auction items that have been sold
Adding multiple donations submits the page after the warning - If you enter more than 20 in the "number donated" field, Silent Auction Pro asks
you to confirm that you want to add that many items. Previously if you clicked OK the system would immediately submit the page. This now simply dismisses the warning and allows you to continue
editing the page before submitting using the Add Donation button.

Editing an event caused database error - Customers who had not purchased the AuctionPromoter and who tried to edit their event

Promo codes automatically enabled - Added code to automatically turn on promo codes if a ticket is created that has a promo codes.
Promo codes may be turned on or off manually from the Group Admin > Edit Event page.
Removed the promo code option from the check-in ticket purchase page so that it now shows all tickets available. This is available only to members
of the group so forcing them to remember and enter a promo code didn't make sense.
Fixed an issue where the announcement times would change if you changed your time zone but did not exit and restart Silent Auction Pro.
If a user who is already signed up for online bidding attempts to log in to sign up for online bidding again in kiosk mode, the system will display a

A new version of the online bidding sign-up page can now be used as a kiosk sign-up page at your event. After a person signs up the
page will return to the online bidding sign up page to allow the next bidder to register. The link to this page is available from the Auction Admin > Links, Reports and Export
area. In addition the page where the user enters their credit card information will
now allow the user to swipe their card. Note that currently card swipers are only available for laptop devices.
Silent Auction Pro no longer automatically sends out a receipt for $0.00 transactions. The most common scenario is authorizing a person's credit card.
In the past Silent Auction Pro would email the person a receipt showing the authorization for zero dollars. Some found this confusing and asked that the system be changed to no longer
automatically send those receipts. If you want to send a receipt you can click on the Email Receipt button to force the receipt to be sent.
Element Payment Services is now part of Vantiv Integrated Payments. This is largely a name change only for Silent Auction Pro customers though
our customers now benefit for Vantiv's added security and the fact that they are one of the largest processors in the US. Batch transactions are now processed and deposited
into your bank account within 2 business days - slightly faster than with Element.

Public Donations List Page - With the purchase of the AuctionPromoter, you may now make a list of selected donations viewable to your potential guests so that they may preview
the types of items you will have for auction at your event. The presentation is similar to the online program guide but unlike the online program guide, it will list donations that
have not yet been converted into auction items. Viewers may filter the list by category and title. The link to the donations list is available from the Auction Admin page in the

Image Cropper / Editor - When adding a donation image, Silent Auction Pro loads the image into an image editor that allows you to resize, crop and
rotate the image before uploading.
Edit/Delete Contact Labels and Contact Affiliations. You may now add, edit or delete contact labels and contact affiliations
from the Auction Admin - Create and Manage area. If you edit a label or affiliation all contacts with that label will be updated with the new label. If you

Added information about why images sometimes do not apparently upload. The issue is almost always browser caching - your local machine serving up the old image rather than

Added a new feature when people are evaluating Silent Auction Pro for the first time. This brings up an informational dialog telling them where they are and things they
may do next.
When viewing the details of an online bidding item, pictures expand and then go away when the mouse leaves the thumbnail. You used to have to click the picture to make
it go away. We had complaints from some customers saying they didn't know how to make the picture go away.

When printing all bid sheets, bid sheets for items marked as sold will no longer print. This is important if you are transitioning from online bidding to paper bidding.
Silent Auction Pro automatically prints the highest bid on the paper bid sheet for you, but in the case of sold items, you do not want to print a bid sheet. We also modified
the code for the SOLD sheets to include the winning bidder's number for those items already marked as sold.
Fixed a bug where whenever you deleted a ticket from a contact, the "bidder" status would change to "No". The bidder status will now only be set to No when that
person no longer has any attendance tickets assigned to them.

When printing bidder numbers from the Auction Admin page you can now choose to print bidder numbers for everyone marked as attending your event, only those
who are marked as attending and who have a credit card on file, those marked as attending who are assigned to table, or those marked as attending who have a credit card on file AND
who are assigned to a table. These options are helpful if you require that people have a credit card on file before bidding, or if people must be assigned to a table before entering
your event.

can find all attendees with outstanding balances on the Auction Results page along with a graphical indication if they have a card on file or not. The drop-down that lists all
bidders with outstanding balances remains on the AuctionDay page.

When adding or editing contacts coming from the AuctionDay page, the list of attributes for the contact is reduced to just first name, last name, email,
cell number, service provider and the event section. This was done to streamline the check-in / check-out process even further. If you need to add or edit the other attributes

Fixed a problem where very large photo files were failing to upload. This was a server configuration issue that limited the file upload size to 2Mb. Modern cameras
are creating files of 3Mb or more. The new limit is 16Mb. NOTE - Silent Auction Pro will reduce the resolution to a max size of 400px in any dimension which results in file sizes less than .5Mb.
Uploading larger files will simply take longer. Best bet if you are taking pictures is to reduce the file size / resolution your camera takes BEFORE taking the pictures. This will make
uploading photos to Silent Auction Pro much faster.

Modified Silent Auction Pro to automatically "reconcile" people who purchase tickets or sign up for online bidding where there is no match for
that contact's last name already in your group's contacts list. As an example: If there are no contacts with the last name "Smith" in your contacts and Bill Smith
purchases tickets and/or signs up for online bidding, his user data will automatically be copied over into your contacts list and he will be automatically approved
for online bidding. Then, if William Smith purchases tickets and/or signs up for online bidding, the system WILL NOT automatically reconcile / approve William Smith
because there is already a person with the last name Smith in your contacts. An Auction Administrator will have to reconcile William Smith into your group and decide
if he is the same contact as Bill Smith or not. The same would hold true with anyone named Smith going forward. Please note that once a person has been reconciled
into your group, in any subsequent events, that person will never need be reconciled again.
Added session timeout timer. Sessions expire after 12 hours. You will now get a three minute warning when your session is about to expire.

someone wants all the tickets they purchase to be available to be used by others, simply go into that purchaser's contact record and release any tickets assigned to him/her
by clicking on the unlock icon next to the ticket.

Added links to the "My" pages in the drop-down menus. These were accessible by clicking directly on the menu button - for instance, you could get to My Home Page by clicking
on the Home menu option, or My Donations by clicking on the Donations menu option. Feedback from users suggested that they were confused by this and sometimes didn't realize there was
another page available by clicking directly on the menu option. Now the first link under the menu takes you to the same place as clicking on the menu does. While redundant, we think it is

Added the Bid Extend feature to online bidding that allows online bidding to be automatically extended by 1-5 minutes
if a bid is placed in the last 10 seconds of bidding.
The online bidding time is now dynamic and will count down to zero. Once the timer reaches zero the page will automatically
be refreshed and will show the extended bidding time if that option is set.

Fixed a bug that allowed people to bid online on items after the item was marked sold or taken off line. This only happened when
a bidder had the bid detail or kiosk bid set up ready to bid on an item and the online bidding status was changed for the item.

Fixed a bug that allowed matches on blank values (address, email, phone number, etc.) when reconciling tickets. Matches should be
narrowed down now to specific matches based on what a person entered, not on what they didn't enter.

Mobile Bidding: Changed users home page to refresh every 30 seconds to show the latest bidding results for their items.

Added the ability to delete (archive) a contact that has previous history (made donations, won auction items, etc.). To delete a
contact, simply click on the trash can icon in any of the pages showing the list of contacts. If the system detects previous history for that contact
it will automatically mark the contact as archived and the contact will be excluded from any future searches or use in the system.

Added a confirmation dialog to the AuctionDay page when notifying winners. Notifying winners marks all items in that section as sold

Added donation titles to the printed donation descriptions for bid sheets, sold sheets, display sheets, printed program guide and the first page of the
online bidding page. These changes help more clearly present the donations contained within an auction item and are consistent with the presentation

Updated the donated by list on the Edit Donation page to include the Company name.
Updated the Best Practices to suggest using a first name combination such as "Community Supporter" if the first name of a donor

When entering bids using the Bid Entry form from the AuctionDay page, Silent Auction Pro will look up and display the winning bidder's name in the Bid Entry form. This

Added a group email address that is used as the "from" address when notifications or emails are sent from Silent Auction Pro.
You can now add a customized payment and pick-up message at the end of the standard notification that is sent from Silent Auction Pro when bidders win items.
System correctly handles when donation photos are added AFTER the donation has been converted to an auction item. Photos will now show up without resaving the auction item.
Fixed minor bug in the notify winners that caused people who didn't win anything but who had an outstanding ticket purchase to be notified.

Event receipts now show the declared value on items where the declared value is less than the price paid. The difference
between declared value and price paid might be used as a tax deduction. (Please consult your local tax advisor). This allows the event receipt
to be used as a tax receipt.

of these attributes can be used to create a unique number for each letter or email as is required in some states or countries for tax receipts.

Added a Bidding Kiosk page which allows people to bid at an event using a kiosk computer or tablet.

Online Bidding: Silent Auction Pro now includes an optional online bidding component allowing your
contacts to bid on auction items before or during your event. You can even run the entire event as an online auction if you
want. There are several enhancements directly related to the online bidding component including:
Donation Photos - You can now upload photographs of your donations that will be displayed in the online bidding center.
Text and Email Notifications - Bidders can be notified if they are out-bid on an item via a Text message to their mobile phone
or by an email or both.
Bid Sheets Changes - If you are using the online bidding component and then hosting a physical event, the bid sheets you print
will automatically start with the highest bid placed on that item online.
Complete Management of Online Bidding - Auction Administrators or higher have full visibility into the status of the online bidding
including number of bids on each item, highest bidder and bid amount. Each item may be put on-line or off-line individually or on-line
bidding may be suspended for all items at a click of a button. You may also set an ending date and time for online bidding.
Register for On line Bidding Access - Persons who wish to bid online are required to place their credit card on file with your group
ensuring you will get paid for items won online. Group Administrators have the ability to grant or deny online bidding access on an
individual basis.
Online Bidding Center - Each bidder has their own individual online bidding center showing the items on which they are bidding along
with the bidding status.
Clone and Move Donations - You may now easily move a donation from one contact to another as well as quickly clone an
existing donation.
Online Ticket Purchases Store Credit Card Data - Prior to this release of Silent Auction Pro online ticket purchases did
not store credit card information so that you could offer those attendees Express Check-Out without re-swiping their card. Now online ticket
purchases and requests for online bidding access automatically store credit cards so that you may charge those cards later during check-out.
User Customizable Letters - You can now generate your own user customized letters using several fields in the Contacts and
Donations tables.
Simple Export of Data - Data exports to spreadsheets are now automatic and don't require an intermediate step of saving the
data as a text file.
Control the Donated By Reference - When entering donations you may now choose how you would like the Donated By reference to
show up on bid sheets. You may select from "Name", "Company", "Name - Company" and "Anonymous".
Edit your Profile - Users may now easily edit their profile, change their password as well as add a Text number for Text based
online bidding alerts.
Donation Descriptions on Payment Receipts - Donation descriptions are now included on the Payment Receipts to help runners
identify items during the check-out process.
Bid Value Rounding - When creating auction items, values such as the Max Bid, Min Bid and Bid Increment now round to values
ending in 0 or 5 meaning you won't see bid increments like $13. This would be rounded to $15.
