The historic White River Valley is between Nason Ridge and Dirtyface Mountain, just west of famed Lake Wenatchee, and only half an hour from Bavarian Leavenworth. Spend the weekend in the recently restored 120-year-old Duncan Cabin surrounded by hundreds of acres of wilderness and spectacular views. Start out the first day at the time of your convenience. Depending on the season, you can cuddle up by the fire in the woodstove, go snow shoeing right from the front door, go berry picking, go for a hike, kayak the White River or Lake Wenatchee, bicycle, or one of the many other opportunities nearby. Dinner will be healthy, locally raised and designed to reflect what the original inhabitants of the cabin might have eaten. It will be delivered to your door at the time of your choosing. That evening, sit next to a warm fire with organic appetizers and local beverages. Cozy up and read a book from the bookshelf or engage in conversation. Read about the rich history of the cabin in a local historical novel about the White River Valley. Settle into the comfortable 600 square foot sleeping loft. The next morning, enjoy sustainably grown coffee and tea, delivered to your door, soon followed by breakfast (which just might include eggs from the henhouse mere feet from your cabin; by the way have we mentioned our Seabright rooster that will great you in the morning with his cock-a-doodle-doo?). The cabin is comfortable yet primitive, with a sitting area, dining area and sleeping loft. Enjoy being unplugged no Internet and limited cell reception.
