Donation tags can be used to associate donations with particular sub-groups or teams within an organization. For example, athletic boosters holding an auction that benefits all of the sports teams for their school can associate specific donations to individual teams, such as Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, JV Football, Varsity Football, and so on.

After the event, the sales results of tagged donations are automatically calculated and reported as subtotals within the auction results report. This allows the auction administrator to easily track and credit funds to each team based on their efforts at bringing in donations.

Any member adding or editing a donation can apply an existing tag to the donation. Only administrators can create new donation tags, either from within the Edit Donation form or from the Auction Items & Catalog menu option.

1. Click the Auction Items & Catalog menu item in the left navigation, and choose the Auction Types, Categories and Tags option.
2. Click the Add new tag button.
3. On the Add a donation tag page, type in the new tag name and click the Add Tag button. The new tag name now appears in the Tag drop-down list.
