Wonderful "Sunflower" fused glass spoon rest by Jim Rice. The dish measures 4.25" wide by 11" long and 1" deep.
In 2015 Jim opened his own studio, Jim Rice Fused Glass, in Shawnee, Kansas, relocating to Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 2018. His artwork and designs are recognized for their unique and whimsical interpretations of nature and everyday life! Much of Jim's artwork is "retro" in nature, drawing from the 50's, 60's and 70's, with an emphasis on the music of those decades. He is commissioned regularly for custom pieces based on pictures and ideas from clients.
Jim’s work has been shown at Meet the Makers in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Cornerstone Bank and The Gallery at Sun Fest in Holiday Island, Arkansas, the Lenexa (Kansas) Art Fair, the Kansas City, Kansas Public Library, and the David Jones Gallery and Musical Theater Heritage VIP Room, both in Kansas City, Missouri.
