Description:
This is an original handcrafted design by small metals artist and sculptor Michael Schwade. The frog is actually an adjustable with the clip on the back so it can be worn as a necklace or a bolo tie. The frog feet at the end of each of the tie's cord are add another dimension to the piece. The tie measures 34" long and the frog is 3.25 wide and 3" long. Made with bronze with a green patina finish.
Michael Schwade (Eureka Springs) A local artist that divides their time between Eureka and Florida. He designs, fabricates, and sells original, unique jewelry creations. He designs and fabricates welded bronze, copper and nickel silver jewelry with fused and dichroic glass cabochons as well as welded bronze and steel sculpture. "I have been designing and bench crafting jewelry for 45 years. In 1975 I had the opportunity to study the art and craft of torch welding bronze sculpture and jewelry from Ernesto Gonzalez, master sculptor from Havana. Since then my evolution as an artist has continued in a totally unique direction. I have been influenced by the jewelry of ancient cultures and my pieces have the look and feeling of artifacts. My pieces are shown and sold at several fine art galleries. I have won numerous awards at art festival all over the country."
