“In the midst of the pandemic and during FX x Mildred

Howard’s Residency Program, I created Radiant Joy! to remember that despite the

darkness/heaviness/fear I felt under this apocalyptic and oppressive

sociopolitical climate, I can still experience joy and that ultimately, life is

worth living. By cultivating community, self-love, and cultural pride, I feel like

my soul blossoms like a flower, gleams from my being, and heals.”
