Value: $1,000
Donated By:
Meghan Melvin
Description:
You and up to five (adult) guests can join Meghan Melvin, Jean S. and Frederic A. Sharf Curator of Design, for an intimate, individually curated viewing of 15-25 pieces in the Morse Study Room for Prints and Drawings at the MFA, Boston. Choose from “greatest hits” like Sargent, Homer, Goya, Cassatt, and Van Gogh – or pick a theme such as rare books, postcards, or animals – and hear from Meghan about the provenance, history, and context while getting “up close and personal” with each piece. With more than 250,000 works from Europe and the Americas that range from the 15th century to today, the collection tells the story of creative printmaking and draftsmanship in many forms and will have something for connoisseurs and amateurs alike! This one-of-a-kind experience includes admission to the Museum and several art books. Highly flexible dates and times.
Restrictions:
Date and time of the visit (for 4-6 adults) to be discussed with Megan Melvin a minimum of six weeks in advance.Oblates of the Virgin Mary
