Camp Hobbit Hill is not just a summer camp for girls who want to ride horses. Yes, it is about the joy of riding and the sense of confidence that one derives in dealing with the challenges of learning how to ride well, but Camp Hobbit Hill is so much more than that. It is about helping to prepare young girls to face life’s challenges with a sense of responsibility, confidence and élan. It is about living with others from different backgrounds but with similar goals. It is about learning to communicate and share with others. It is about developing life-long relationships with young girls with similar hopes and aspirations. It is about learning to stay focused, overcome obstacles and achieve goals. It is truly about young girls having a fun-filled summer and leaving camp with more enthusiasm, confidence, and skills to face all their upcoming life challenges.

Description:
At Steve & Kate’s, we believe that when you trust kids, they develop the confidence to trust themselves, and learn to use their own judgment. So we created a summer camp that puts kids in charge. Because unlike traditional schools, summer gives us the freedom to reinvent learning in a way that allows kids to make their own choices – and, of course, a few mistakes along the way. Driven by this belief, we’ve built our summer camp to put kids in the driver’s seat of a world of possibilities. So whether your child is a natural-born storyteller with a love for animation, or a budding chef, or a hacker-in-training, or a dance machine, they can dive into their passions in a world free from adult judgments and expectations. After 38 years, we are still obsessed with reinventing every summer. Because if we’ve learned one thing, it’s that when you think like a child, anything is possible.

1 hour Q&A with a blockchain expert on whatever you want to ask about Bitcoin, Ethereum, tokenization, crypto, decentralization, consensus algorithms, etc. Ten years ago a breakthrough in computer science enabled creation of the first cryptocurrency: Bitcoin. It uses cryptography to regulate how people transfer them, how they're created, and how secure they are. The underlying technology, blockchain, can be used to conduct financial transactions, track movement of goods or services, and enable trusted exchange of information without a 3rd party. Your Gmail, Facebook, credit cards, and driver’s license are examples of centralized systems that own your data in exchange for the service they provide. The next iteration of Internet (Web 3.0) is being built right now based on decentralized “peer-to-peer” technology. In this conversation we can stay on basic topics or go in-depth. From “how do I get a wallet” to sovereign identity and prediction markets to insights from my trip to the DevCon 4 (Ethereum developers’ conference that was held in November). Disclosures: we won’t discuss the price of ETH or treat this as investment advice.

The letters of the alphabet were crafted from painters tape and applied to the white canvas. The children and teachers painted the entire canvas.
