For all paper-based bidding, or any type of live auction, every guest who intends to bid must have a bidder number. Bidder numbers can either be manually assigned, or automatically generated by the software. Bidding by number, available with the Bidsheet Plus™ or higher level packages, is simple and provides a level of privacy for attendees. It is also typically much easier for auction assistants to read a number than a handwritten name. For groups using the stand-alone Bidsheet Basic™ package, attendees bid by writing their names and phone numbers on the bid sheets.
Auction assistants and administrators can print the assigned bidder numbers for those guests marked as "Attending." Attendees must bid with their system-generated bidder numbers in order for auction assistants to use the check-out functions offered by AuctionDay, including generating invoices.
To produce cleanly printed bidder numbers from the Silent Auction Pro™ software, set your browser printer settings as follows:To print bidder numbers individually

When printing all bidder numbers you have the choice of printing bidders numbers for everyone marked as a bidder, bidders with a credit card on file, bidders assigned to tables or bidders assigned to tables who also have a credit card on file. Additionally, administrators can print all bidder numbers collated with the contact info sheets, or print the contact info sheets separately. To print all bidder numbersWhile the Best Practices suggest that you enter spouses separately in Silent Auction Pro, spouses may choose to bid using the same number. When selling tickets through Silent Auction Pro - in the case of spouses - it's likely that one spouse purchased the tickets and put their credit card on file so choosing the "Bidders with cc on file" will print bidder numbers for only one spouse and they may bid using that number. As a Best Practice we also suggest that you require a credit card on file for your attendees to bid.
