Group Administrator

A group administrator has the highest level of access in a group's Silent Auction Pro account. While the administrative duties of the auction fall mostly to the auction administrators, group administrators have purchasing powers and executive privileges. Group administrators are responsible for higher level duties such as creating events, assigning group membership roles, and maintaining the accuracy of the group's contact information. Each group can designate more than one group administrator to share these tasks.

The Group Administrator's have additional software features that other users do not. Many are found under the Group Admin Tools menu item. Additionally, other Group Admin tasks are availalbe, and are only displayed to users with the appropriate access level.

Key group administrator responsibilities include:

  • Creating the group account and setting up the event
  • Purchasing optional components, data import, and other services
  • Configuring a merchant account and requesting credit card readers
  • Managing user access levels for group members and requests for group membership
  • Managing the credit card on file and settling the final charges with Silent Auction Pro
