Editing Auction Types
Auction Types are formats through which you will sell your auction items. Default auction types include Silent Auction,
Live Auction, Raffle Prize, and Door Prize and Silent Auction - Priceless. Auction Administrators or higher level members
may edit existing Auction Types.
Note: It is not possible to delete an Auction Type if the type is currently associated with an Auction
Item from any of your events.
To Edit an Auction Type:
- Navigate to the page.
- Locate the "Edit Classes / Auction Item Types" table.
- Select the Auction Type you wish to edit in the Auction Type select list.
- Click on the "Edit Type" button.
- This opens the Edit Type page.
- Modify the Type Name, Has InfoSheet, Has Bidsheet, Priceless,
Print Bid Amounts and Has Buy-It-Now options as appropriate.
- Click the "Update Type" button to save your changes.
The following describes the affects of the different options in the Auction Item Types table:
-
Has InfoSheet: Selecting "Yes" for this options directs Silent Auction Pro to create an Info Sheet for this item
that may be used by an announcer or live auctioneer. Info Sheets may be printed out from the page, Auction Day Printed Material and Reports table.
-
Has BidSheet: Selecting "Yes" for this options directs Silent Auction Pro to create a Silent Auction bid sheet for
any auction item with this Auction Type. It also enables the Priceless and Has Buy-It-Now options.
-
Priceless: Selecting "Yes" for this options directs Silent Auction Pro to omit the value of all donations and overall
value of the auction item from any printed material including bidsheets and the online program guide.
-
Print Bid Amounts: Selecting "Yes" for this options directs Silent Auction Pro to pre-print the bid
amounts on the bid sheet starting with the Minimum Bid and then incrementing by the Bid Increment. This is the recommended option
as it prevents your attendees from breaking the bid increment when writing their own bid.
-
Has Buy-It-Now: Selecting "Yes" for this options directs Silent Auction Pro to include the Buy-It-Now section on bid
sheets. Note that Buy-It-Now and Max Bid are synonymous and that the value entered into the Buy-It-Now / Max Bid box
affects how many bids are presented in the bidding section of the bidsheet.
