Viewing Bid History

Silent Auction Pro™ keeps a record of all bids placed on auction items and, in the case of online bidding, how each bid was placed. Bids can be placed (entered) in a variety of ways:

With the Mobile Plus™ or Mobile Pro™ packages, you can view the status of each auction item and its bid history by clicking on the corresponding number of bids listed for that item in the Bids column on the Online Catalog Tools page via the Auction Items & Catalog menu.

Silent Auction Pro™ makes it easy to delete a bid and to revert to the second highest bid. There are a couple ways this can be accomplished.

Using the Bid History page to delete a bid
  1. From the Auction Items & Catalog page, click on the Online Catalog Tools option.
  2. Locate the auction item for which you want to delete or revert the bid.
  3. Click the number in the Bids column
  4. Click the red X to delete the highest bid and revert to the second highest bid
Using the Enter Bids form to delete a bid
  1. From the Check In & Check Out menu choose the Enter / Edit Bid Results & Cash Pledges option
  2. Enter the auction item number for which you want to delete the highest bid
  3. Click the Delete Bid button
  4. Click OK to confirm you want to delete the bid

If there are previous bids on that item, you will see the following message: "A previous bid has been entered on this item, click OK to revert to that bid or Cancel to just delete the bid." To revert to the previous bid, click OK. To delete that bid and leave the item with no bid, click Cancel. Clicking cancel doesn't delete all previous bids from the bid history table, but it does leave the item with no current bid. If you revert to a previous bid using the Enter Bid Results form the item will be marked as sold. If you don't want the item to be marked as sold, use the Bid History proceedure described above.
